What makes a God?

What is a god?
Is it a being to worship?
Is it a being to admire?
Is it a being to be subservient to?

Is a god a god just because it has more power then we can imagine?
Do we pray to a god expecting it to answer us? To help us?
Do we pray to a god simply because it makes us feel good inside?

Should we fear our gods?
Should we tremble at their will?
Should we love our gods?

All gods were once as we are, mortal.
All gods once walked upon the land.
All gods were once born of mortal womb.

As such, if a thing can be born, can live,
Must surely it then be able to die.

Is a god inherently superior to us?
Is a god inherently more moral then you or I?

A god is just a being,
Upon a high plane of understanding.
With a grasp upon threads of creation.

A god did not create the world.
A god will not destroy the world.
The universe has and will attend to these things.

A god just has more understanding.
More control over the world.

A god is not your master.
You are your own master.

Your mind is your own,
Free it from prisons that may strive to bind it.

The freedom of the mind,
The greatest gift the universe gave you.
Expand it,
Fill it.
Fulfill its potential.
Become a God yourself!

I would say +o or knowledge of the root password, but close enough... (Demigods use sudo.)

I've gotten so used to using su instead of sudo that if only the latter is available I tend to use sudo sh :tomcutterhamonfire
