Batavian Prophet of the Gods

Ow Great Prophet,
I come here in this mighty temple to ask You a favour. I want to get a promotion to the position of Batavian Prophet of the Gods.

I already translated some articles. The Dutch article about Cedrism is here.


Possible powers of the Prophet are:
- Appointing (normal) priests
- Contacting the High Priest, Prophet or other Prophets.
- Avoiding fragmentation (I'm not sure this is the right word) between the Dutch Cedrism and Anglophone Cedrism.
- Appointing demi- or local gods, with approval from the other (Shirithian) priests.
From a distance I'm concerned about the rampant lawyerism manifesting itself in Shireroth currently. A simple Kaiserial slap on the wrist or censure by the community should suffice. - Jacobus Loki

I want to appoint a new demigod: Stalin, Demigod of Doomed Revolutions.

Johannes Stalin was a former citizen and was leader of a revolution to make Dietsland independent. I think he tried three times in one month and then gave up.

It's general policy not to name gods after people anymore (unless they are historical figures). It avoids certain...complications.

Indeed, and he isn't active anymore. And I don't think he would have any problems with it to be called a demigod :D

but the name Stalin itself carries historical baggage we proly don't want.

It definitely is less disturbing than repeatedly hearing the name of a homocidal mass-murderer when mentioning a demi-god.

The attributes "Demi-God" and "Homicidal mass murderer" are not mutually exclusive. :p
