My charge, Greg Russell of Mirioth and Amity, created a guide some time ago to help those who were confused, learn more about our unnoficially official religion. Brappa has been gloriously negligent in his duties, therefore I created this guide to help the public. Read it, and be enlightened. Any question should go in this thread. I will answer.

I recall there was a concept about perfectly straddling the line between Good and Evil... I always wondered about that. I've forgotten its name, too. Couldn't you just have a concept of symmetry breaking in the religion? Modern physics gets along quite well with it...

The Immoti, and their 'god', Neharad. I had forgotten about them. We should flesh that out some more.

Question: is there any particular god or being who claims to have taught mortals about the gods or their legends? Apart from Brappa of course (but surely the mortals knew basic bits about the gods, or at least some of them, before he came)

Brappa is pretty old... There have been other prophets, but he was the first to my recolection. The gods get their teachings out through the various temples throughout Shireroth. Or sometimes, they just choose to reveal themselves outright, though that hasn't happened in a long time.

Ok, thanks very much. One god could happily go around and tell mortals about some of the others before Brappa arrived, then.

Talru Sorto... was the first Prophet on record... at about..9000 years ago... But when he spoke out against the Elemental Mages (all slaughted at the fall of the Khaz Modanian Empire)... they had him put to death. This was after he went blind when he wife died in child birth to their last child. I forget which of their kids became the ancester of all the kaisers... but... of his kids... one eventually became the ancestor of the TEchnomages.. one of the Kaisers (And Brrapa), and one of the Mages that caused the fall of the Khaz Modanian Empire...

I had a lot of computer failures a lil over a year ago... had to rebuild it a few times... that's why I bought a new one... and now have 5! (Letifer, Raynor, Tonerman, Gaelen, Rrakanychan) (AMD64, P4, 500mhz, 266mhz, 200mhz) respectively.

I'm not really sure what happened to my copies of the Talru Sorto stuff. I remember saving our conversation when we discussing it, and I don't think I would've deleted it (or if I had, I would've deleted everything else at the same time, which I didn't). Maybe the file got eaten at some point...

it is possible I have it logged.. if I was using gaim at the time... or trillian.... but my trillian logs are.. errr.. missing..
