HERESY!! I remember, in the (comparitively-)old days (that is, before my glorious--if brief--reign as Kaiser of Shireroth), you might've been pelted with empty peanut brittle tins and burned at the stake for such a crime.

You were Kaiser of Shireroth?

Well, that depends on whom you ask.

As it happens, the Kaiser at the time, due to very low activity in Shireroth, would disappear for weeks at a time so as not to face the situation. Braden took it upon himself to assume the throne so as to restore some leadership. The only problem was that it was a bloodless coup, rather than a concensus, and his "reign" lasted 3 days at most when the real Kaiser returned, threw him off his assumed throne and reassumed his rightful place. The Kaiser disappeared again, and then I was asked to be Kaiser by a number of people because there was no provision made for an orderly transfer of power. Activity did not pick up, so I eventually abdicated in favor of Hypatia Agnesi, resulting in a great rekindling of activity and interest.

Braden had a lot of interesting ideas for Shireroth, but emigrated after this incident. We miss his input as a citizen, and I feel he would have been a very good choice for Kaiser, had things been done in a more conventional way.

Not a big deal, I am running for Speaker in April. Hopefully it'll be easier to perpetuate a democracy where it already exists than try to build one almost from scratch.
