I know some heartless people like to comment on whether Attera is still alive or not but since we are all friends these days I could not possibly comment.

So... Interland reverted from Attera after some independence from being a Province of Attera in the first place? Crazy.
It seems to me that Attera, whilst of course more successful, is plagued by the same problem which so vexed us in Matbaa. The fact that whilst we both had/have an original culture such as Ethiopian in their case and Assyrian in Matbaa's, it doesn't do favours when many new micronationalists want a simple nation where they won't have to learn a load of foreign phrases and complex cultures.

More than six years, but yes, the culture is self-induced and thus more "Real".

Erik gave Shireroth life and its basic structure and belief system; other early citizens wrote extensively about their geographic regions, coloring their peoples, myths, beliefs, life styles, and customs so vividly that, all these years later, Shirerithians still hark back fondly to those golden days and peoples, and wish to return to and revive them.

Regional development is quite fun when you're given more or less free control over what you can do. I hope Modan-Lach can develop as far as some people seem to have developed Yardistan and other counties.
I think we should at least encourage everyone to start making ShireWiki pages for the counties which aren't mentioned there yet.

I was refereing more to the national identity.. which is constantly in flux and changing, and has never really been defined... bout the only thing that can be said about Shireroth is.. we like land... we are a lil nutters.. and we like to have a good time.. always have..
