This Bridge of Ice

I was passing through my garden on the way to the Butter Cow Temple and I noticed a bridge of Ice that had been commissioned by my predecessors. The image caught my attention as I found it very symbolic. If memory served, the bridge had been built as a reminder that a Count's reign was not something eternal, but something that lasted only as long as it was needed till the next great person would come cross. It saddened me to see this bridge in such a sorry state (due to the ridiculous temperature caused by the cows), but it also brought an odd felling of hope. Maybe this was a sign of new things to come in the future. Maybe it was time that the bridge was replaced or remade. I smiled an turned from the scene and walked off towards my sheep drawn carriage.

A massive cracking sound filled the air and I stopped. The bridge had just collapsed. I couldn't help but wonder what would come next.
