My Accent, And furthermore why you should give a damn
People often say that people from Indiana do not have an accent. Well, it is true that in the north of the state, the accents are basically those of Chicago, Michigan, and the Eastern part of the country.
However, in the south of the state, you'll find the sound quite different. To explin it adequately, I will cite two sources: the movie Oklahoma and those commercials on Adult Swim advertizing the new Robot Chicken DVDs. If you can blend the accents of the actors in both, then you will have a general idea of the accent of my home region. In intonation, I actually sound rather like the actress who played Aunt Eller in Oklahoma though I have much better grammar. Now, my friend Jessica, who joined Shireroth just recently, is from Indianapolis and has a completely different accent.
Why should you give a damn? Well, you shouldn't ,but you've already read the whole thing, so it doesn't matter.

Um.... Saying that someone does not have an accent is like saying that an organism does not have a species.People often say that people from Indiana do not have an accent. Well, it is true that in the north of the state, the accents are basically those of Chicago, Michigan, and the Eastern part of the country.

Actually, I should have written "have no accent significantly different from anywhere else to be called a separate accent."

Which is also false. All places in the world has an accent. If by "no accent? you mean what is considered "Standardized American English" as used formerly by news organizations, that would work, except that same accent is Midwestern.
