Because we need some activity...

So you're starting a poll about why there's no activity - to combat the activity? Tell me, what do the words "death spiral" mean to you? :)

by Hypatia Agnesi
No, to poke fun at the inactivity. And I like picketing about issues that really have no need for protesters (see the thread in General).

So far, 50% say they have nothing to do. Ominous, no?

I knew I missed one! Sorry, work should have been on there. Mark off school instead, maybe.

Boredom for me. I find that there's nothing to do. You know the examples of things that I can do - Praetor, Soloralism, Control of Destiny Antya, Cartography, diplomacy. But I just find all of them without merit right now, unfortunatly, and I don't know why.

In fact it's like that with most of my hobbies, and at the same time, I still procrastinate (usually by doingnothing), so I STILL don't get any work done, which I have a lot of.

School kills all room for activity in anything but itself (this includes drinking and women)

Which is a shame: even if you don't have time for women, you should always be able to fit drinking into your schedule.

OkCupid works well, too. Plus they have silly quizzes to keep you busy.

I apologize for the ambiguity of my sentence. I was actually saying that drinking and women are part of school. ;)

I cannot find a woman. Noone wants me. :(

If this keeps up, I'm gonna start wearing a leather trenchcoat and regrow my old ponytail. :P

And that's a bad thing???

Trenchcoat plus ponytail is a good thing. Trust me. It's unlikely to do anything but help with attracting women (at least in the circles I like to run in, seriously).

Also, I reiterate my previous plug of OkCupid. I ended up sending messages to a few people and even getting some phone numbers/AIM handles back for some additional interaction (even a couple of woos). I even ended up on a date with one guy the same day we started chatting (yes, that was Mike). I also know people who met each otherther than Mike and myself.

I just got the 80-some-odd-page book on the things I need to know and do for Education abroad while the quarter is coming to an end and all of my paper work is starting to build up and there is no time it is an illusion so it really isn't late right now because now is a figment of my imagination.

In otherwords, don't expect me back anytime soon.

So I spent the last two weeks at the barracks, where... well, OK, the reason why I didn't do anything in Shireroth is that I was lame. I did have time to network, but I mostly used it to read through Wizard of Chiron, a fanfic of wonderfulness. I tried to start on the Foundation series again slightly before reading the last existing chapter of Wizard of Chiron, but the classical series couldn't resonate with me at all like the way WoC did. If you've played SMAX but haven't read Wizard of Chiron, you're living in the equivalent of a Shireroth with all of Scott's posts taken out.

Do women actually like trenchcoats? I think they look kind of cliche by university. I've replaced everything with leather.

You don't wear trenchcoat's around here in Charlotte unless you want cops following you. Seriously. <.< It happens to me when I wear black coats of normal length and I walk into stores. :confused

"Yes trench coat good." sais Eris friend Pam

Oh, I agree. The leather trench coat is the idea. I actually know a guy who has one, and it's AWESOME. He's also got an awesome girflriend.

the problem is that not everyone wields the leather trenchcoat well. They very often pair it with grim looks, and dyed black hair which makes it just look extremely cliche. What they need to go along with it is sunglasses, long natural hair (in a pony tail), and a smile to maximize the "I'm a rock star" aspect rather than the "I'm going to shoot your daughter" aspect.

I stronly prefer brown hair (natural) to black hair (dyed), in a pony tail. Not everyone can handle dyed hair, and most of them have short hair.

In other words, I completely agree.

You can try throwing eggs at Mitch Daniels...or Bush, if you can get close enough.
