Today is the day to put on blue tinted contact lenses and flavour your food with cinnamon!

I still like the later books better, God Emperor and later. Dune itself, when I went back and reread it, didn't hold my interest like the later stuff.

Also, I might like his son better....Though his constant use of the word "Glowered" is annoying me.

I think the only good thing his son did was write the Butlerin Jihad Trilogy!

I started losing interest when I got to the end of God Emperor. But my interest has been re-piqued by some of the prequel books (e.g. House Corrino). I've heard mixed things about the final book of the series (Sandworms) but haven't read it yet - I'm almost hesitant to lest I be disappointed.

SPOILERS:

Glohas cannot be constantly improved! It makes no sense! Why else were the fish-speakers superior to duncan in the fourth book? ARGH! So much angst! And the return of the thinking machines was just fail!

Although, I think the series started going downhill with the addition of the HM.

They combined all the past DNA in some way.... Getting him to retain all the past knowledge, and the modified the DNA.. it was the damn Tlalaxu! Fuckers..

It was all about Miles Teg for me anyways in the end. I liked him better.

I liked him cause he had some fun powers, brains, skills, and reputation for awesome. and he didn't even need awesome powers to get the rep. And his power had costs. He seemed more balanced.
