Ok, I'm curious what you all think of me. I haven't been head of state before, so I'm a little inexperienced in gauging public opinion of me. Please respond! If you have suggestions for new projects or for how I could do even better, please say so.

During your reign our activity has picked up. You must be doing something right :)

You haven't really left your mark on Shireroth with the drastic measures previous reigns have seen. I think that's good - a soft start.

It has nothing to do with leadership. That's why it sucks to be kaiser when activity dies.

I completely agree that Hypatia's doing great, and completely disagree that activity has nothing to do with leadership. I've seen too many months of inactivity completely turned around by a new Kaiser to think differently.

Despite the kind comments of some, I am forced to agree with Scott's assessment, which is why I finally decided to give the throne to Hypatia. Her Majesty has drive, intelligence, and imagination, and will be a superb leader. There seems to be a resurgence of interest I was unable to figure how to bring about, and for that I am grateful and excited. Thank you for your support while I was Kaiseress. Now, we can all gladly support our new leader. Long may she reign. :kaiser

I know I'm not a Shirereithan- but Hypatia does seem to be doing a great job- keep it up :)
Another thing, though- why hasn't the Kaiseress taken a Kaiseress's name? In Matbaa all Zatriarchs take ecclesiastical names- for example, Zbina IX or Ignatios II (you can read their biographies in MatbaaWiki).

Why is it always the true women Kaisers that never take a proper name? JD, Aure, Your mom.... hehe... and you... Non took a proper name.. they all use their own name... While men, use a proper Kaiser name based on a god...

I have some ideas... but I'de proly get smacked for uttering them....
I also have some ideas on why a leader does and doesn't have any impact on activity. Mostly that is has to do with the person.. not the office... that the person could affect activity just the same even if they were not Kaiser...

Look what happens when certain people show up on the board...

The ironic thing about my reign was, I was trying to democratize the system, but because I had little popular support and the government was basically emptied of people, I got very little cooperation and had to rule largely by decree.

mocracy never works for that reason... not enough activity to run it properly and effieicently... this isn't even just in micronations... england takes months to get laws through.. not sure about america...

As far as micronations go, the Republic of Antica (just one example) is a very viable direct democracy.

Most MN's

Post by Jacobus Loki »

Most MN's are going through a tough patch right now. Her Imperial Majesty rates in the top 10% of Kaiser's that I have interacted with, all the way back to Tymaria.

many micronations are falling at the moment... after a rather prosperous december the janurary is falling somewhat... except for jamzinia, after 6 posts in december they then had 1532 posts in janurary...

Great! Keep up the good work. :evil
From a distance I'm concerned about the rampant lawyerism manifesting itself in Shireroth currently. A simple Kaiserial slap on the wrist or censure by the community should suffice. - Jacobus Loki
