It is the nineties and there is time for micronationalism

Post by Ari Rahikkala »

Most of the things the voices in my head say are really weak excuses for killing people.

Independent of time, there was reason. Reason implied formal systems, formal systems implied algebra, algebra implied set theory, set theory implied functions, functions implied computation, and computation implied existence.

This is my post #2000. There are a few others like it, but this one is mine.

Have you ever considered writing a book Ari? An entire text of stuff like this must appeal to someone other than myself. :)
Vilhelm von Benkern - The Dolphin-...Count
:: Formerly just "benkern"
:: Rook Sentry of the Order of the Vorpal Blade
:: Count of Mar Sara IIRC
:: Former Baron of Absentia AFAIK, before that Baron of Vorpmadal TBH; also Former Duke of Yardistan IMHO
:: Dux Emeritus of the Order of Mischievous Intent

It takes moo to mango!

I think the late Turkmenbashi cornered the market... and before him Gaddafi.

I'm going to teach myself to become a really good ventriloquist, and then speak with broken A/V sync all the time.

I think you should have Locative Art instillations where your avatar speaks on various issues using your writing style.

Anyway I must be off, gotta grovel before the golden interweb throne of Ari to get him to rebuild that board he may have just destroyed...
My throne is made of aluminium, actually.

I came up with a way to state a pet peeve of mine:

Parallel dimensions? Sure, you can have those, but since they're parallel you have to drop them from orthogonal bases. :kaiser

(or, rather: Parallel dimensions? Don't your spaces have orthogonal bases?)

All that is real does not seem obvious, not all who are wrong are equally so;
The new that is true does not falter, yet deep wells do not empty in a drought.

... I was trying to continue it it but the rest ended up just being inspirational rather than slightly terrible :( (if you combine inspirational and terrible in the same package, it ends up not just terrible but also uninteresting)

We've all killed thousands. I oversaw operation blue bolt in the Woodstanian war. All micronationalists have.

For what it's worth, that previous quote originally sprang into my mind as "All that is quantifiable is not easily measured". I took a long shower and at the end had managed to come up with a second sentence, "Not all poor models are optimal". At that point I realised I'd crossed over from the cute kind of slight terribleness into full-blown autistic inappropriateness. So, I brought it back toward reasonableness a bit.

This is my 2000th post. There are many like it, but this one is mine. My 2000th post is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I master my life. My 2000th post, without me, is useless. Without my 2000th post, I am useless. I must post my 2000th post true. I must post straighter than any enemy who is trying to outpost me.
