the Apolyton Stock Exchange, the ASTEX, was essentially the birthplace of intermicronational economics in the Apollo Sector. The Audente economist dStryker founded the ICE (international currenty exchange) there. As a result of some pretty skewed formulas and an occasional bank fraud, Audentior became extremely rich. The ASTEX building was massive and ornate before a fire damaged it severely and it was scaled down. The spires of the ASTEX, huge things each the size of a small office building, were auctioned off throughout the region to help pay for repairs.
There were six towers, of which one we know it was once the manor of Jason Steffke (now the Imperial Apollo Hotel). Another spire is now used by the current ASTEX (nowadays, a local stock market)
The other four spires are still lost. Through history, the location got lost. Much chance these will never be rebuild.

ASTEX. Funny how certain words and phrases stick with you, remain in your head covertly and jump out at you when you read them. :)
