Song writer

Post by Jonas »

I'm looking for someone who can write some lyrics for the Kildarian hymn. More information in the Kildarian forum.

Oh...I thought I could help when it said "Song writer", but I'm not very good with lyrics...

However, if you need music, I might be able to help

Err. Maybe you can help... Maraguo needs a national hymn and the Kildarian baronies could use one too. :thumbsup

And maybe someone that can sing the Kildarian hymn if we have lyrics.

Kildare is a Duchy.

Is this enough information, Bayen?

Bayen made a nifty anthem! And now I'm looking someone who wants to sing it! :kaiser
Perhaps one day when this war is gone,
From the Duchy of Kildare
The Duke will greet the day's new dawn
And the Baron won't be sorry.
"Land of Tzi!" cried the linguist bard,
And speaking high and muffled,
He spoke Kildar'an; it was hard
So he was very troubled.
The pact fell through! Cuz the peace-makings
Could not bring the Duke to give in
His word, he knew, was like to a King's:
To it one must always listen,
He said "No spell or magic tree,
Shall let you take what's mine from me,
Kildare's here for the pure and the free,
And after all, I'm Duke, you see."

I love it. For those who don't know... I'm the Duke! :p

But we have a tune already. But I would love it if you sing it! You get payed of course.
And maybe some others need to sing it too (then their are different versions).

I think she has more then three citizenships, Your Niftiness.

It's almost sure we will use this song as Duchal hymn, so we still need an anthem. This time we don't have a tune where you can base your lyrics on (so free to chose).
But don't forget I like this kind of music.

Artz, but you are still allowed to sing the song of course! Then you get a castle or something from me. ;)

I'd never actually heard the tune before, since the link Jonas posted didn't really work, so I had no idea how it sounded. Great singing, Rebecca!

:o Thanks guys! :yay: Glad you liked it!

I could put them together.. but, thing is, the clip itself was too hard to sing to (seems as it went too high), and no matter how many times I tried to change the clip in FL, it just wouldn't work. So I memorised the tune and put it down a pitch ot two so I was able to sing it. :p So putting them together might be a bit difficult. Would need a lot of tweaking in FL and audacity to get it right. :D Might be easier just to play the tune, elsewhere, in the right pitch than to modify the midi.

Yeah.. don't ask me.. :p .. best to ask would be Matt, Kakali or Michael. I mean, Sinclair was meant to be re-vamping it.. but.. well.. he left. I know we have running businesses, and we can buy certain things ect.. I haven't really delved into it.

Well, one of my favorite fantasies is annexing willing 1 - 2 - 3 cit countries, which would lessen cit-counts for the annexed , of course.

You're in some winners. (Sigh).
