The Diet's opinion on the Kehl

What do my Barons think on this idea? I think it's silly because you will gain nothing and Shireroth will gain nothing. If someone wants to make Shireroth a democracy by giving more and more people voting power, they should do it upfront (so it can be shot down and dealt with already), rather than create useless institutions to fulfil the purpose later.

How do you feel?

Thing is, it contradicts what I think is the way Shireroth's feudal system works. The Duke is Kaiser of his Duchy and so on. So one of my Barons convening with Barons from another Duchy is like me as a Duke in Shireroth convening with Mr X as a Duke in Natopia (they've got a similar feudal system going on these days). To continue with my analogy, as Kaiser of Yardistan I gave my Dukes a Landsraad of their own, the Diet. Now they want some inter-Ducal diet. It bemuses me to say the least.

Honestly, I don't see it as hurting Shireroth. But I agree, it doesn't help much, or maybe even all. As far as I understand, its power wouldn't be enough to actually DO anything, and its suggestions to the Dukes can easily be ignored. In addition, I believe the point has been made in the past: we have the Front Gate.

Well, I'm not a Baron, but that has never stopped me...

I don't like it, but like Jonas says, what the PRH, the govt. is shot to PRH already.

shame we don't have a Kaiser who could fix this.........
