Following Scott's proposals earlier, what does the Council think about letting the Council have the power to veto the Duke's Landsraad?

No way!
Thats a *dripping with venom* democratic method. PLus do you really wish to impose such a limit on your selves (Royal yous :) )?

What is this fear of "democracy"?

The Council could veto whatever it tries to, but it would be wasting its time and have no effect at all, while anything affecting Landsraad votes remains the preserve of the Charter and those who can amend it.

It's called feudalism.

It is the duty of this Council to advise the Duke, to petition him with regards to local matters and to oversee the transition in the event of a breakdown in the chain of succession and the ducal equivalent of an interregnum. It is not our business to overrule his Grace, willy-nilly (I do apologise but I seldom get to use that phrase...) at the Imperial level - it casts us in a bad light if we are discordant on the home front, we are not Yardistan and should not aspire to resemble the same.
