A matter of etiquette

I know I'm meant to be closed, so I'll leave you until tommorow to answer .... but, normally speaking, a Minister of Trade goes off to other countries, gives them an offer, and they accept/reject/negotiate it. That gives me two questions, then:
1. Do I have free reign to manage this with other countries - go off and ask to buy from them, and offer to sell our stuff?
2. When my opposite number is myself, do I still need to post here for approval and vice versa?

I don't see why not.

They only place you'd face yourself concerning trade would be Novatainia, and I trust you won't be screwing us over in that situation.

I strongly object to anyone labelling me the Shirithian ambassador to Novatainia (I want someone else to visit
but with trade, I'd rather it just happened, and its more fun for me running two nations ....
