*Sirens blare, alarms wail, and all radios and televisions in the Barony broadcast the following emergency message:*

"We interrupt this broadcast to inform you that our troops and sharpshooters have repelled an aerial attack on Port Nevermore by paratroopers, wearing the uniforms of the Count of Monte Crisco, who is also our Kaiser. We had received advance warning of the attack, so were prepared. Our militia and naval officers were able to capture all invaders without bloodshed, and we are holding them in the brig until we discover why our Kaiser's troops would choose to invade his own subjects' land. We will keep you apprised as to any future developments.

All trained personnel are recalled immediately to the port and other duty stations until further notice. That is all.

This concludes this emergency alert."

*Emergency bulletin chime sounds on televisions and radios throughout the Barony.*

"We interrupt our program with the following news update. The Kaiser has admitted his paratroopers, dropped from troop carriers based on an old carrier, landed at Port Nevermore yesterday. He claimed that they were merely 'sightseeing, from two thousand feet, with guns.' He says he plans to retreive his troops and take them home.

To discourage future 'sightseeing,' Navy Seals from Port Nevermore launched an undetected attack on the land-based remainder of the Kaiser's troop-carriers. Those planes and helicopters were destroyed with no loss of life, but with a very satisfactory B0O0/\/\.

We extend our grateful thanks to all our sailers and militia members who so bravely defended us in this incursion. Medals of valor are to be granted to those making the greatest contribution to our safety.

We'd love to put that one on in our Barony. It would be an honor and a pleasure. We have not had the pleasure of Mr. Dornan's company since 2006, when he, Scott, and Bill came up here for a reunion with other Shirerithians of northern California. It has been far too long.
