I'm going through our duchies collecting all the issues of consistency that I can find between the MCS map, the most recent map of Shireroth (http://shireroth.org/shirewiki/Image:Sh ... s.new1.PNG I believe), and my idea of what things should go where. I'll be doing this duchy by duchy to encourage response everywhere. I expect all nobles to point out whatever inconsistencies exist in their lands.
Once all the errors have been gathered up I'll update our maps and submit a MCS mod to update all of our lands at once. I'm not in a hurry, though, so this will be a good time to rename places, add cities, that kind of stuff. I'll be making suggestions in each duchy if anything comes to mind.

Re: Ari's being janitorial again: Cartographic consistency
I forgot to consistently check for superfluous capitals. I think the right notation for Shireroth on the MCS map is to make the capital of each duchy as a regional capital, and not use administrative capitals at all (at the moment anyway). I might be wrong. Actually, I'm probably wrong. Andreas or Spangle or someone who understands the significance of administrative and regional capitals better than I do could probably do a better job of matching up our administrative hierarchy with the MCS's city notation.
Anyway, with my interpretation, the capitalness icons should be replaced as follows, I think:
- Eliria is an administrative capital, should be regional capital
- Brookshire Hamlet is an administrative capital, should be regional capital
- Nordagaat is a regional capital, should be a large(?) city
- Curragh is an administrative capital, should be a large(?) city
- Djugagrad is a regional capital, should be a large(?) city
- Blackrock Nua is a large city, should be a regional capital
- Augustgrad is a regional capital, should be a large(?) city

You can pick what Administrative capitals do. In Gralus, we treated them as ex-capitals of nations. But we also had one in our Novatainian colony, because it was so far away. There could be good argument for Baronial capitals being Regional Capitals, and Duchy ones being Administrative (assuming Baronial capitals aren't going to change too much, which they probably are). Other nations use them differently. What is unnaceptable, however, is the current ad-hoc nature of those symbols with no real relevance to modern Shireroth ...

No, they were capitals of the member nations...not ex-capitals of nations.Andreas the Wise wrote:In Gralus, we treated them as ex-capitals of nations.

Ex-capitals for MCS purposes, as we're only allowed one capital.
