Idea: New Halls Within The JM3U

Post by Kaiseress Semisa I »

Should we have other halls? If so, what should they be dedicated to, and what should they be named?

I was personally thinking one dedicated to music and theater, and using it as a revivification of that niftiness that was the Shireroth Band Project, as well as doing an audio version of Mogbeth.

Ooh, good idea. Though should that be combined into one art wing? I personally don't think so: in most universities, theatric and studio arts are often divorced.

...and could we potentially subsidize SSHIT into the JM3U as something like "Sorto Hall", going along with your recent declaration of intent regarding historical creation?

Say that three times fast.

Don't forget some halls for the other humanities.

We don't want to go overkill, so perhaps a hall for Theatric Arts, a hall for Studio Arts, and a hall for Written Works. Anything else?

PS: I propose naming the Theatric Arts hall "Wanderlust Hall", the Studio Arts hall "Eriana Hall", and the Written Works hall "Alexander Hall" or "Metzler Hall". Objections?

Ooh! And a debate club! Like Rarkasha said!

EDIT: Although, the debate thing may fit into Darwin Hall better. "Where Good Ideas Fight To Survive" or somesuch.

As for the written word hall, you could go for anything from Suetonius Hall to Tolkien Hall to Hawking Hall to Fischer Hall.

Personally, I like Hammurabi Hall or Cicero Hall.

I was largely trying to stick with micronational figures for the hall names, but that's bound to cause some controversy, so your idea of naming them after famous historical figures is probably better.

Besides, we already have Darwin. Let's go with some more.

Possibilities include:

Theatric Arts:
[*]Shakespeare Hall
[*]Sondheim Hall
[*]Rodgers-Hammerstein Hall

Studio Arts:
[*]Picasso Hall
[*]Da Vinci Hall
[*]Escher Hall

Written Arts:
[*]Tolkien Hall
[*]Dueteronomy Hall
[*]Cicero Hall

Philosophy:
[*]Plato Hall
[*]Aristotle Hall
[*]Emerson Hall
[*]Thoreau Hall

As I was involved with the first (and last) Shirerithian Band Project, I can say with certainty it COULD work, but it requires more patience then most Shirerithians have. I don't even know if I still have the actuall demo song anymore, much to Stephen's delight proly.

*Votes for Shakespeare, Escher, and Tolkien*

Come to think of it, it really would make some amount of sense for SSHIT to be under the University, too. History Department.
