Babkha
Babkha is dying.
No cheering, please.
I know I'm not the Most Popular Shirithian at the moment with a number of folks, but I've got to do my Jimmy Carter, former somethingerother schtick for a minute.
Babkha was the shadow by which we judged our light. How can we know light without the Shadow to measure it against?
Please go over there and say Hi.
Note to the YAC - Bring crowbars, pliers and an acetylene torch - for souvenirs, of course.

Re: Babkha
Is it dying again?
From a distance I'm concerned about the rampant lawyerism manifesting itself in Shireroth currently. A simple Kaiserial slap on the wrist or censure by the community should suffice. - Jacobus Loki

Re: Babkha
Please for the sake of decency let no Shirerithian complain about how a nation keeps dying and then not dying...

Re: Babkha
Problem with Babkha is that with the unlimited powers of His Radiance the Shahanshah, it's difficult for individual citizens to know what to do. One just gets citizenship and is expected to post about nothing in particular.
I mean, the last post I considered making was about the Iranians making the largest Ostrich Sandwich in the world. It's depressing when that's the only active topic you can think to post in a nation...

Re: Babkha
So, will I open a forum for the Duchy of Babkha now or later?

Either that or Ashkenatza annexes Babkha as per the Camel-Bagelact... (Rozenkhan Protocols)

Re: Babkha
It doesn't look like Babkha will die to me. I think what's most likely to happen is that we're moving away from state/government simulation and more towards purely community-based activities (with intermittent piss-ups of course)... so basically what Hannover did except without the money or the Second Life shit.

Re: Babkha
Does anyone need any MCS land for their micronational experience?

Re: Babkha
Come on, Babkha will become no more than an old-timers' chat forum if it continues with what it's doing at the moment- anyone interested in micronations will join a nation which actually simulates government rather than one which has stopped doing that.
Hesham said Babkha would become nothing more than a space for the community and essentially just the Chaykuneh- that's not really a micronation now, is it?
As such, I'm still wondering whether Babkha-a-la-Chat will merit its MCS territory in future- I mean, can we even still consider the place a micronation?

Re: Babkha
Surely as long Babkha remains a micronation of any type (even an absolute monarchy), it is irrelevant how much or how little government it has? There's much more to micronations than governments.

Re: Babkha
Put more eloquently than I could have put it, Iain. There is still going to be a Shah and there are still going to be Emirs (ex-Shahs). The community and nation will remain along with the undisputed line of Shahs upon which Zurvan's divine providence shines.

Re: Babkha
A bunch of old timers having discussions and ignoring government? Right, Ari, that sounds like an invitation for Duchy of Babkha if ever I saw one. We haven't annexed Babkha for a while ...
The character Andreas the Wise is on indefinite leave.
However, this account still manages:
Cla'Udi - Count of Melangia
Manuel - CEO of VBNC. For all you'll ever need.
Vincent Waldgrave - Lord General of Gralus
Q - Director of SAMIN
Duke Mel'Kat - Air Pirate, Melangian, and Duke of the Flying Duchy of Glanurchy
And references may be made to Vur'Alm Xei'Bôn (a Nelagan Micron of undisclosed purpose).
