Grand Prince Brian Capelle,Allow me to welcome you to Shireroth. First of all, let me present my self: I am Richard Lyon Andelarion, Duke of Elwynn. I hope that your stay in Shireroth will be pleasant and without troubles. Perhaps I should add that I am no official of the Shirerithian government.I am personally a bit concerned about the situation in Sullifree. With our friends in Babkha and Stormark attacking your beautiful islands and destroying your legislature, this does not prove good for your State. While the claims of Babkha and the Grand Commonwealth may be understandable, I feel that that is no issue that Shireroth at the time, without proper consultation from the Landsraad, will be able to take a stand on.Given that our friends in Babkha claim your islands as inalienable parts of the Babkhan kingdom, it would in my opinion be impossible for Shireroth, without proper consultation of the Landsraad and the Imperial Advisers, to engage in any diplomatic relationships with your government.I wish you well, Sir, and I hope that the issues in Sullifree will swiftly be resolved.Ric Lyon Andelarion

Our legislature has not been hampered any further than it was, all of their posts have been locked and archived and those antagonizing my fora have been banned, a total of (what I believe to be) 3 people so far.Very well; however, you may note some of your other treaty nations have sided with us on the issue because of the frivolous nature of this crap. And I would like one real reason making the GC's claim viable. We never did anything to hurt them. I am 14 years old, all of this is dramatic for me and I do not know if micronationalism as a whole is worth it any more. You just...you just have no idea.I will, however, respect your fora, unlike the Babkhan brethren, and I will not argue the point here. Good day. Brian CapelleGrand Prince of Sullifree

Gentlemen,Sullifree has not harmed and will not harm Shireroth in any way. It is one of the so-called serious micro-nations which eschew MCS and recwarring. Its leader, Brian Capelle, is one of the few micro-nationalists who still keep alive his dream of having sovereign land and independence. The only reason Shireroth is now restraining its dealings with Sullifree is because it is scared of Babkha. Well who gives a crap about Babkha, this is Shireroth! I will say there are some excellent Babkhans I know, such as Osman. For what it is, Babkha is a great nation, whose ties with Shireroth are much appreciated.Obviously, Sullifree is a small, weak nation that is of no threat to us. Since that is the case, we really have no right to boss Sullifree and the leader thereof around.Regards,Matthew Basil Shirerothian PatriotPrince of Byzantia

1. We don't eschew MCS, we are a member, mainly out of pressure. We do NOT, however, recwar.2. Osman is one of the Babkhans who seem to be particularly antagonizing Sullifree. Brian CapelleGrand Prince of Sullifree

Perhaps the Shirerithians will be interested to know that Sullifreean MCS territory is now under the control of Natopia, and that any advances on Sullifreean land, are advances on Natopia henceforth. We're not advancing anywhere, Sir Nathan. Whever you got that idea from, it wasn't me.

Oh no Kaiseress, I was not suggesting Shireroth was advancing on Natopia. I was saying that Shireroth's aversion to help Sullifree based on lack of official recognition is now moot, as if the Babkhans attack the Sullifreean MCS territory, they are now attacking Natopia. Just a note to Sullifree: unless I've missed something, Ric does not have any official foreign affairs position here. There are many Shirerithians, including myself, who are very concerned about Babkha's action and who consider your nation entirely worthy of recognition (although it's a null issue now that you're part of Natopia). Scott, Sullifreean and Natopian foreign affairs are, currently, seperate. The hasty union left many nebulous things unspecified that will be hammered out in the coming weeks. We just wanted to keep that land out of the GC's hands. His Sovereign Majesty, NathanSovereign Natopian EmperorNatopiaForumsJoin the Renaissance! Empire Library

Well, that's most likely the case, but someone else may be impersonating me as well. In any case, there are several flaws on the whole thing that make it look just stupid. Ask any respectable micronationalist and they will tell you I would not be so stupid, and if I really wanted to, I could have gotten in touch with the right people and just bombed them, really, but I would not do such a think. Even Ciaron Broeck/Kieran Bennett, the most respectable micronationalist alive, would probably warrant me on that one.I AM interested in pursuing Diplomatic relations with Shireroth, whenever someone with the appropriate power gets here. As it stands, what was a union with natopia will probably end up being a state, ironically, much like the GC, with several members, starting with Sullifree and Natopia, but hopefully gaining many more.Thank You. Oh, btw, the new union will be pretty weak except regarding defense, so foreign affairs will still be under the individual nations' control. Brian CapelleGrand Prince of Sullifree

Kaiseress, as I have given you my report on Talamthom and not much else is occuring there, and since it is quite boring around here, might I be able to go off to Natopian Sullifree for a spell?

The Kaiseress doesn't have anything to do with the Diplomatic Corps, Oz, I'm the Minister of the Exterior.Speaking of which, Prince Capelle, what sort of relations were you hoping to have with Shireroth?

we don't expect you to agree to mutual defense at this point, and we don't ever offer diplomatic immunity, so unless you wanna get creative, nothing to do but recognition. Brian CapelleGrand Prince of Sullifree

Well mutual defence is a bit high on the "meh" scale this weather in any case, seeing as prevention is pretty hard. Mutual assistance after an attack is usually more expedient.Actually, how long has Sullifree been around? We usually wait a regulation three months before opening any kind of formal diplomatic affairs beyond recognition.

Shouldn't Natopia be handling your defence and foreign policy? Cause if they are not... Oh and chill - this is still covered by Executive Order 008. Edited by: Osman Shahanshah  at: 12/11/05 14:24
