I am Peter Ulsnes, and I represent the Kingdom of Cerulea as it's Minister of Foreign Affairs. I would like to start and maintain a trust- and helpful relationship between Cerulea and Shireroth. Welcome to Shireroth. I hope you enjoy your stay. I have prepared the following treaty for your approval.

TREATY BETWEEN SHIREROTH AND CERULEA

WHEREAS the two countries of the IMPERIAL REPUBLIC OF SHIREROTH and the KINGDOM OF CERULEA, having come into contact with one another and and finding their interests to be coincident, do desire to formalize and secure their cordial feelings, they do agree:

FIRST, that each recognize the other as a sovereign and independent country, possessed of all the rights entailed thereby

SECOND, that both countries commit to resolve all mutual disputes peacefully, using a neutral third party agreed to by both should this prove impossible by normal channels

THIRD, that both countries shall remain open and accessible to tourists and other visitors from one another, barring national emergencies or other such security issues

FOURTH, that both recognize one another as the rightful owner of all territory, real and imaginary, that they claim.

FIFTH, that proper channels of communication shall be opened between them, so as to facilitate dialogue and future cooperation.

SIXTH, Cerulea shall never participate in an attack upon the holdings of Shireroth and vice versa.

The degree of acceptability in that treaty is satisfying.

That treaty will be beneficial to both of us. I am glad to agree to it. Here is a version with my personal signatory:

I wish to ask you of something else, which does not relate to the government of Cerulea. Within Cerulea, I am the head of a firm called CeruleaAir, responsible for air trafficking within and outside of Cerulea. Would you allow for air lines to be opened to your major cities?

Mr Ulsnes, Shireroth would be delighted to organise air travel with Cerulea air. For simplicity, why not arrange flights to the ducal capitals - Eliria, Shirekeep, Brookshire Hamlet, Blackrock Nua, Novi Nigrad, and ... err, Ari, what's your capital sanct? It's kinda hard to work it out from the wiki. Discontinuity, maybe? (anyway, whichever sanct you pick won't be on the MCS map till at least 2010). Anyway, yes, arrange flights to the capitals, and then arrange some sort of deal with Lamifo Corporation etc about getting people railway access from the airport to any of the counties (such that Cerulea Air gets a cut for organising it, obviously .... )

Yes, Discontinuity is capital of Straylight, as far as I know...

It is. It also happens to be the only one with enough surface space to spare for an international airport

Just to make it clear (I'm not so good with the brain thing): Air lines can open to Discontinuity only, as it's the only airport that is big enough at the moment?

In Straylight it is. In the other 4 duchies, there are probably tons.

Lamifo Corp. will soon launch a domestic airline service, connecting the major cities and capitals in Shireroth. The next step will be to go global, and connect Shireroth with the surrounding world. We could perhaps work out some sort of discount deal for international transfers from your Cerulean flights over to the domestic system? Also, the railway system operated by BRAS is open to anyone able to pay a ticket. So be sure to inform your passengers to exchange their Cerulean money for Erb and they are more than welcome.
