From a distance I'm concerned about the rampant lawyerism manifesting itself in Shireroth currently. A simple Kaiserial slap on the wrist or censure by the community should suffice. - Jacobus Loki

Just don't try to overdo while so ill. It would sap your strength and make your recovery longer.

Jonas--
In Fahrenheit, 98.6 is normal body temperature. It is equal to 37 Celcius. 107F is usually as high as a fever can go before brain damage and death can occur. In Celcius, 100 is the boiling temperature of water. In Fahrenheit, it is a mild fever. The United States still uses Fahrenheit for taking temperatures in most cases.

Re: Not really a LOA....
Apparently our Kaiser decided to move us into the future when he set up our country to run on metric units. Hooray for undecipherable units of measure. (Most of us Americans use metric units only when forced to do so.)

Re: Not really a LOA....
I use metric consistently because I have trouble visualizing imperial units over distances longer than a foot...then it confuses everyone because they don't know metric...

Re: Not really a LOA....
Those of us who learned metric units only when we arrived in high school or college science or math classes still find it difficult to shift over to metric. It just doesn't seem natural. But, using the English measures of length, weight and time such as span, stone and fortnight, isn't natural either. It's all a matter of what you are accustomed to.

Not here in America. We also don't have a key for the euro, the yen, the erb. We have to make do with the dollar sign. Oh, well.
