However, they are alarmed when behind him the dust billows up, and they must all cover their eyes to keep from being forever blind.A chorus of caws and screeches pierces the air, and the men have trouble deciding which to save first - their ears or their eyes. The flock speeds behind the figure, as if it were pursuing him as prey. Under their wings the dust mixes with the smoke from the Phoinex's burning such that to add to the mix the caustic taste of tar and soot.As the men finally come to their senses and pull their garments over their heads, the flock is allready passed.(My, my... now look what I've done )
