I believe enough time has past for this-

Post by Jacobus Loki »

I propose that Anandja II be referred to as Anandja II Eris, after the intense discord that colored Shireroth during the period.

Perhaps a stupid question but: What does Eris mean?

We sort of have a backlog of epithets... Ikol II and B'caw I are waiting for theirs, too. :document Though I think Ikol requested "the Architect", so we could just make that official.

I've tried to avoid choosing my own, because it's the kind of judgment better made by other people, but if I had it probably would've been something like "the Sorrowful" or "the Humbled". I think Jake suggested "the Steadfast" at the time.

I actually requested an epithet after my first kaisership and have yet to get it (I specifically left it to Ric also, so now I'm not entirely sure what to do about it)

To be honest, after thinking about it, I thought "the Burdened" would be appropriate.

It seems to me that every Shirerithian Kaiser is burdened with the responsibility. :p

Give me a list and I'll review it and likely decree it. Or we could have the Landsraad pass it.

I still don't think Kaisers should ever get to choose or request their own!

Also, B'caw I Mortis the Spicy is so awesome.

You know... I was going to say that it'd be more appropriate for an epithet to reflect the nature of one's reign, but I find it really, really hard to argue against "the Spicy"...

Incidentally, if we're going to start including Bloodline names in Kaiserial names, a la "B'caw I Mortis", I invite everyone to consider that, while decently awesome-sounding in many cases, there are points where it could become awkward if the same scheme was used. Assuming names were kept in their traditional Lines, the next Mors would be "Mors VII Mortis", and, almost certainly worse, the next Raynor would be "Raynor XII Raynor". :document

Ozymandias was actually the middle name of Reynardine I, the bloodline name is not present. Not entirely sure why Ozymandias is in there, actually...

Ahh. Though Ozymandias would be an awesome bloodline name...

Sounds a bit strange nowadays, but it was actually my nickname given by Ardy. However, I think that it had been changed to Leto III Ozymandias the Bold. :document

Oh, so you're going to remove the one-nationality Kaiser restriction? If I'd known that was on the table I might have stuck around in the country myself.

Yeah, with that qualifier, I'd never become Kaiser.
