The J.A.S.O. situation , and referencing Imperial Decree 334

I am appalled, both at the situation, and at my failure to act sooner.
J.A.S.O. is a cultural treasure. If the Imperial Republic does not want it, the Founder of both J.A.S.O. and of Shireroth itself does.
Please reference Imperial Decree 334, of the great and wise Loki III of loving memory-
http://www.shireroth.org/shirewiki/Imperial_Decree_334
I think this is a situation where the Founder should be honored, and his wishes taken seriously.
I beseech the Kaiseress to take the appropriate action.

If you want to talk about cultural treasures, it was Jasonia's national treasure long before it was yours.

I have ruled.

But it was Erik's, in any case. And Jasonia did not exist for quite a while, while Shireroth preserved what wreckage of Jasonain glory could be preserved.
Rather than an auction, a discussion in dark and smokey rooms should take place among those of good will or of power and influence.
CAT!

Erik freely admits he stole it (and it took work to steal it to, he says!), but if the rightfull owners want it back, then it should be given back, regardless of how long it was here in Shireroth (even if you aren't exactly giving it back.
).

I reserve the right to sulk.

What Gman said. Jake, Nelaga's view is that we're recovering a cultural treasure. I'd tell you more about smoky rooms but ... best if I just keep a lid on it for now.

If Nelaga buys it, the least we can do is signing a contract (or something like that) in which we agree that if Nelaga dies, Shireroth get it (back).
We don't need to forget that Erik did much for the organisation. And if I was in his place, I would react the same.

I haven't been following this discussion, so I may be spouting total nonsense, but:
JASO has long proven to be harder to run than anyone expects. The typical pattern over the last few years is for someone to take over, make two or three uninspired designs for some kind of
munchkin super-vehicle, and then give up.
So why not fold ISI into it and turn it into a consortium, the same way there's a European Space Agency and the same way all sorts of countries cooperate on fighters like the F-21 or the Eurofighter Typhoon? Either a Shireroth-Nelaga aerospace consortium, or a pan-Commonwealth one (the former would probably work better). That way we get more talent involved, and both nations can reap the results.

Now that actually sounds like a good idea.

I have ruled on the issue of the auction and Erik's claim, but if the proper officials from both nations can somehow reach an agreement to this effect, I have no problem with it.

A random by stander is killed by the grenade tossed aside by the Kaiseress.
suddenly a squad of men with B.A.R.'s and explosives strapped to their chests connected to Dead-Man switches, rush out of the crowd and surround the Kaiseress. One is knocked down by an Imperial Guard before said guard is knocked unconscious. The men speak:
Anandja, you are hereby under arrest by order of the Count of Monty Crisco and Baron of Dolor. You will come with us peaceably or you will be exploded in the midst of this throng. The choice is yours.

"Reinforcements have arrived from the Los Brigade... err... they're not *static* they're not
quite the best but they are forming a cordon around this site. Others will be along shortly. *static* Now I've got to run... I've got some tanks to guide in..."

To the Count of Monty Cristo, Greetings.
The Kaiseress made a decision that we both disagree with. But we both agree that the ruler of Shireroth is supposed to be decisive, and she is a decisive Kaiseress. This should be a Good Thing, even if we disagree with the occasional oops.
Now we agree that we disagree with her about one thing, but if we are going to blow up a Kaiser(ess) over every little thing?
Oh, BTW, agents in my service have placed thermonuclear devices in proximity to the heir and, co-incidentally, in a building in Cerce.
No more Kaiseress, no more Monty Crisco, and Loki IV will take vengneance for the assasination of his grand-niece. The accession of Loki IV,
is likely something that you might find even more disagreeable than the status quo.
Now ask your angry friends to let the Kaiseress go, and I'm sure all of this can be glossed over nicely.
BTW, if anything happens to me, it will enable the back-up detonators currently in the possesion of the MoMa.
Warmest Regards, Peace and Happiness,
