Western Shirerithian Empire

Post by Jonas »

With Amokolia possibly joining Shireroth (I know, Jess said it before and it didn't happen) we can expand our power!
One, little problem... we have too much land... Maybe we can write a stupid law that declares new territories will be placed in the Western Shirerithian Empire. In theory, this territory doesn't have any kind of head of state. In practise, it belongs to Shireroth! :evil

Meh, bad plan.

If they join us willingly, to hell with what the MCS says.

The MCS has plenty of problems.

Yes. That is why they need to embrace love and happiness and give us what we want. :) Whatever that may be.

Yes, they will be filled with love and happiness if they acquiesce.

Doublepost!

Why don't we, for all of our purposes, annex whatever. Never make it "official" with MCS.

Let them stay on the MCS map. Just forward all military and foreign affairs here. A Quasi-protectorate kind of thing, as far as foreigners are concerned.

IF Amokolia were to join, they could simply change their name on MCS to "Duchy of Amokolia", or whatever they would be called afterwards. This is, however, only speculation.

Your Niftyness, the MCS has refused to permit Shireroth more land on the map. Recent acquisitions were made by tweaking and "re-adjusting" in other areas.

a Kaiser out-ranks a King. We can have a law that states, " The King of Amokolia shall for all Shirirthain purposes be considered as a Duke.

Or something like that.

Yes. I see the only problem with all of this being that the color of Amokolia would not be the same as (the rest) of Shireroth, and that is hardly a problem.

That's also a solution. A bit like my proposal. :)

We can make our own version of the map and give the other parts our colour then.

That is a possibility of course. Regardless of what happens with Amokolia, I can guarantee that things will not fail because of a conflict about what color Amokolia will be on the MCS map.

Just tell the MCS to screw themselves! Why sneak around when we have the power to rebel against them?

I had the impression we might have slightly more chance with annexation than with a general expansion.

And references may be made to Vur'Alm Xei'Bôn (a Nelagan Micron of undisclosed purpose).

Out of curiosity when a country is annexed are the boards merged into the annexer? or do they remain sperate?

Depends I suppose. That would be regulated in the annexation treaty, but I would say that usually that is what happens.

I remember there being some kind of law about what happens to an annexed nation's original boards. The nation in question, I think, is supposed to hand the proper passwords over to the Kaiser so that the government can take control. I don't think there's anything saying that discussions have to resume here, although in practice they seemed to anyway.

From personal experience, if we're going to annex someone, they should move to our boards. It really doesn't work otherwise.

LawBook 1.5.2.B.2 as a matter of fact. And, yeah, I'd prefer that anyone we annex moves their forum (read: activity :p) over here.
