[Pachad]Erik, kindly don't slag off my citizens - even if they are being sassy in the Allot style. I'll bollock them myself if I think it's necessary.[/Pachad]

In the 'standards of the past' thread? I agree he should never have used the expression 'we' as he is not a citizen, the rest I cannot disagree with. Herr Astopov, consider yourself bollocked on that point.

A matter that can, however, be easily fixed...

It's just trolling. Don't get me wrong - I like Shireroth, and every Shirerethan I have had any contact with has been great. This flag debate just, to a great deal of the Micran community, looks a little puerile. The amount of heated emotion is just...great!

Ryan wrote:Really all I envisioned initially was a glorified version of the original random quote script (remember Menelmacar?) and, instead of quotes, just feeding it a long, long list of pre-written events. Set up on a website, you could have a script fed to a table on a page (and thereby have multiple tables with multiple feeds), with each table displaying an event relating to a particular area (e.g. one for environment, one for welfare, one for social issues, etc, etc). I think having everyone who wants to contribute write up some events would be a good idea; and a way to get everyone's ideas included.

Certainly people with more skills in programming can take this way beyond that.

At least I get kudos for coming up with the idea! ;)
Essentially, my plan is just that - pre-written events; but with the option of having them more suited to your nation. At a simple level, it might insert in names of your cities for the location of the event, instead of just saying "A city". If you put in more info, it would suit your stuff more, and you could also choose to not receive certain types of events.

.......you can't "build" culture, it just happens. We didn't build a culture for Shireroth, it just kinda came together.
Absolutely correct. And I agree about "no merger except as annexation".

And I agree that the old flag should return. And the Du(t)chies.

Coup, anyone?
