The pressure to post a witty comment about what would happen if micronationalists decided to apply their skills in the real world is crushing me... In order to find his equal, an Irishman is forced to talk to a Finn.

Real Revolution -- more fun than any video game!

Post by Engel242 »

Real Revolution -- more fun than any game"Where were you when the Revolution found you? Were you staring glazed at the computer screen -- doped on high school lies and caffeine, with your thumbs in spasms? We are an online society of gamers who learned a lot about the world and ourselves through role-playing. We still love the role-playing games, and respect every one of you.But we have realized that, in some ways, that game-world is like the Matrix -- doping us up, cutting us off from reality, training our hand-eye coordination so we are better soldiers for the empire. We have broken out into the real world -- and want to use our skills and knowledge to help liberate humanity.Outside the Matrix, in the real world of ghettos and factories, in Palestine and iraq and Nepal -- there are millions of people suffering and struggling to make the world a better place -- to end the brutal division of rich and poor, and to oppose war and occupation, to prevent a handful of powerful countries from dominating everyone else.We gamers all have important skills -- with computers and ideas -- and we can help support those struggles online and in real life.We urge everyone to check out the following sites:rwor.orgawtw.organd come talk to us about the transition from role-playing to earth-shaking on the discussion site of gamers-turned-activists:http://www.sovietrevolution.com/phpBB2/we also discuss on the undernet IRC at #socialism. We also urge you discuss revolutionary theory and strategy in the RCP-USA's Draft Programme Discussion at:2changetheworld.info/As Marx said "We have nothing to lose but our chains, we have a world to win."Come talk to us. Come debate. Join us in helping to change the world._________________ ------------------"We owe our allegiance to the Working class" -Seamus Costello Committee To Support The Revolution In Peru

Not me... I think the revolution would kill itself for several reasons:(1) Erik would kill himself every 6 weeks and ressurrect as some completely new kaiser-like figure.(2) There would be forty copies of me (and a few of WarVoid and Scott) running around.(3) Bill would get his fucking Microns, and we'd all end up killing them by stepping on them.(4) Ari would become a dolphin and probably found the Coastal Republic of Peru (or something like that)(5) Land disputes would be the biggest problem of all time...but not because of resources. Say it with me: [whine]"But I want a bigger part of the map!"[/whine](6) The world would have already been destroyed a few times by the amount of warfare that we have occur (or had occur) on a day-to-day basisAnd finally: What each nation should have been, if it were in real life:Shireroth: The Roman EmpireDelvenus: SwitzerlandMenelmacar: USA, Civil War eraPolitika: France, maybe? Just because they're so contrary?Jasonia: AtlantisIstvanistan: I'm thinking if Rwanda had a Buddha...Attera: Nazi GermanyAudentior: Mesopotamia, biblical periodAmerada: America, today, if it were run by (a) teenagers; or (b) the guys who own Penthouse, Playboy, and Hustler Shapeshifter Extraordinaire, and Emissary of Fax Celestis

Or just mass hysteria, human sacrifices, PRH freezing over, dogs and cats living together, etc... In order to find his equal, an Irishman is forced to talk to a Finn.

Anyone who starts a real life revolution just because it's "fun" ought to be shot...and coincidentally, probably would be.

Or fly...whatever happened to Bill anyways? Does he still have that kick ass quote of mine? Raised by a family of Griffins in the forests of Llanowar, this young mage is rumored to be the sole male born of the Serra tribe.
