Re: Citizenship Application?
Welcome, Nargoth, or Nick, or whichever you will go by here. It is good to have you here in Shireroth. You are in familiar company here, I see. Yes, we have a limit of two active micronational citizenships plus Shireroth, for a total of three. I have marked your citizenship application APPROVED!! I ...

Re: Sarah Palin: Thoughts?
Bayen-- My last point was that you can't force people's minds and attitudes to change. You might force them to behave in a certain way, but that doesn't touch their inner core. In order for real change to occur, people's minds and attitudes need to be persuaded or convinced that those changes should...

It is a lot easier to relate to the levels of activity if you can actually see it on the graph. Thanks, dr-spangle. This is a very nice, extremely clear graph.

Re: Sarah Palin: Thoughts?
Corey--do you and others of your generation really detest this country so much that you don't want to live here any more? I have never understood that mentality. My generation was told that if we didn't like the way things were going, or the current laws, we should do something about them--get invol...

I am amazed at the extremely high level of involvement by nearly all of our citizens. Great work, and we have had interesting discussions, and not just posting for the sake of posting.

Re: Sarah Palin: Thoughts?
Back to basics, here. I am going to stay totally out of the new direction of the Sarah Palin thread, because it has already lost it civil tone. Now, about assessing someone: if you would critize or condemn someone just by relying on word-of-mouth, the gossip-mongers will have won again. All the Repu...

Re: Sarah Palin: Thoughts?
I do watch both sides, but I often am surprised and annoyed at the conclusions reached by some news readers. It is as if all their commentary is sllanting left I much prefer to hear news I don't have to translate from the bias into straightforward reporting.

Re: Sarah Palin: Thoughts?
Sorry, Mike, I guess I avoid the liberal media so much that the comments made, while basically fairly innocent in themselves, just seem part of the overall attack from the other side on any potential candidates in opposition to them.

I love the YAC motto--"We've got what it takes to take what you've got." We need to get some more of those stickers printed. The one on my computer from 4 years agp has finally died.

But the online battle and war sequences would help with the atmosphere, the weapons, and the actions of the armies. This is something I have never even considered except while attempting to learn about it in the news.

So now I know why all of you are so good in recwars. I've never played anything more complicated or recent than Donkey Kong and Mario Brothers (on my son's system), so I know nothing of this genre.

Yes, it's cute and it's a good gotcha! to Rove, but the question is, did you actually listen to Governor Palin's speech? Just listening to Daley making cutsie tells nothing substantive about the candidate herself. Sorry, Erik I consider this fluff, not news.

As I've said on many previous occasions, earthquakes come in a lot of different sizes: from those you can't even feel, and which are only detectable by sensitive machines placed along the fault lines; to those rare ones which cause massive destruction and loss of life. The horrible earthquakes in va...
