Re: So...this Bastion union thing...
General decreasing activity and citizenship levels across the board, mostly. At least that's what I thought about it.

Re: The Retreating Ice (A Story)
Ryan, I was refering to the Celeste itself. The other gravimetric ship would have been destroyed far too quickly for anyone to have any sort of chance to react. But the Celeste seems to be both a unique and an interesting craft.

Re: The Retreating Ice (A Story)
Just read this tonight and liked it. I see a Fnord nomination in your future. Scott's future-reading ain't what it used to be. I'll bet you have a script here and you're running your own characters, but Nelaga would absolutely intervene to protect a gravimetric craft relic of any capacity, all loca...

Re: Treaty of Antica (Reborn) [3242 ASC]
I don't think the Arbiter can just nullify treaties... can he? :fish I realize the Kaiser has acted, but just because I was curious, I looked it up. Section A: Powers of The Arbiter a. The Arbiter of Shireroth is vested with judicial powers second only to the Kaiser. b. The Arbiter is appointed by ...

Re: Treaty of Antica (Reborn) [3242 ASC]
I don't have the power to overrule that request. I do, however, have the power to make sort of snide remarks about how the Arbiter just nullified a treaty between two countries with no investigation into the validity of the claims of the request whatsoever. Were I the other country in question, I wo...

If you conquer someone's lands and make them your own, and brutally smash all opposition to shreds, you'll bring peace! Yay!

Re: Forum sharing
Is there any discussion from you guys on this end? Natopia is already in, Nelaga will officially switch to Bastion in... oh, about a half hour or so, and Gralus is probably going to swap over shortly when Andreas comes back from LOA and finds enough support it to give it a shot. I don't mean to pres...

Re: Citizenship Application
If you say so. About the subdivisions being all that important, that is. You can't force people to create culture and you can't force culture to be interesting. Since the democracy was added, there's no need for trying to create stuff and suck up to dukes to eventually get a ducal position yourself,...

Re: Wherein I discuss physics with Spangle
Hmm. It would appear that there is a Law of Conservation of Respect of Spangle, whereupon one decrease of respect for Spangle must be accompanied by an increase of respect for Spangle, and that the total respect for Spangle in the universe is finite. And apparently not very large.

I'm sorry, I'll guess I'll try to lower my opinion of Spangle, which is a shame because he's done a lot of good stuff and hard work to get it t...

Okay, well, there's a fine line between healthy academic curiosity and trying to reprove the wheel (... or whatever). Since you're playing with this stuff in the first place, I'm sticking with my statement you should have known better. There isn't really a "before" and "after" in a circuit, after all.

Re: Signing Off
I wouldn't say Antica has made enemies. It's more like, well, we don't really need them. If they want to exist in their isolated little bubble, that's fine with us. I don't think it's something that ceding territory can solve. They'd have to show genuine want to get involved with things other than t...
