Re: The Scott analysis thread
Well, the chap's a tad too competitive for my liking and needs to stop taking everything so seriously, but other than that he seems like a decent guy to me. I realise people get on eachother's nerves, especially if you've known eachother for as long as some of the Shirereithans have, but this doesn'...

Re: A bunch of self-congratulatory pseudointellectual claptrap
I'd rather have self-congratulatory claptrap from someone smart enough to understand that such a thing as intellectual modesty exists, as opposed to the usual RELIGION IS STUPID AAAGH arguments we get from fifteen year old deviantart users who can quote the G-d delusion.

Re: Suggestion: Move the SC
Well several MCS admins in the discussion forum recently stated categorically that the MCS has no links with the cultural or political development of its member nations. I guess the SC therefore has no place on the MCS' boards.

Re: The final solution
When you lived in a nation as disgustingly nationalist as Turkey, and when independence day is the same day as your birthday, one is naturally inclined to want to Balkanise and carve up Anatolia à la Sèvres . In fact, I even implemented my Turkey-carving (pun not intended) into Hearts of Iron II as ...

Re: The Scott analysis thread
Scott and I have had our disagreements and probably still do about some things.
But this is just unfair. A 'let's all vilify' thread is hardly going to help Shireroth with the way things seem to be going at the moment.

Re: Lord Mayor of Shirekeep
So what if I was already halfway through a map of Shirekeep, having included buildings focused around Shirekeep being the capital city of Shireroth, and the capital was then changed? I'm not saying that's the case, but if you were in my shoes, I'm sure you'd be pretty peeved too.

Re: The final solution
Heheheheh- whilst Belgium did give us the Saxophone, Tintin, good beer, and tentatively, Hercule Poirot, its frontier rectification is highly amusing. I still think plucky old Luxembourg should have some of her historic lands reinstated around Bastogne and that area. Then again, as Ardy knows, I'm a...

Re: Setting Shirecon Dates
Sadly I can't be there but I can recommend the Old Cheshire Cheese on Fleet Street as an incredible pub for anyone who doesn't know London that well. I'd contribute to the impoverished Shirereithans' fund myself as well, but the Student Loans Company aren't forthcoming enough for me to be that lenie...

Stop being such a fucking emo Max. You know we like your work here, we just don't stroke your ego all the time You know what? Fuck you too! You evidently have no idea how long it took to prepare a 3000x3000 map of the capital city of a micronation I actually know something about- when you add that ...

Re: Lord Mayor of Shirekeep
Jaaa, the map may take a lot longer than I expected as in Ashkenatza we're kind of redeveloping the very framework of the Republic with the Three-Point Plan (Draypintl Bagrif). Also I'm personally a little disillusioned with the future of any cultural work I design for Shireroth- what if some future...

Re: ShireCon for 10th birthday?
I may be attending a Yiddish language-thingy in New York (Catskills, of course!), so there's a distinct possibility I may be around in the US next summer if anyone wants to do an NY meet. That aside, perhaps this summer meet the Babkhans are organising can turn into a Shirecon UK if we hijack it? I ...

Perhaps we could rename one of the forums to commemorate her, as many micronations did for Rob Davis after he passed away? She enjoyed being a part of Shireroth- we have a duty to remember her.

My deepest condolences, Hypatia. I can't say I ever got to know Carol well, but the memories of people here
are obviously testament to what a kind-spirited and good person she was.
Zikhronah Livrakha- may her memory be blessed.

Re: [Ashkenatza] Application
In that case I suppose you could have one subdivision for Benacian/Mainland Ashkenatza, and the others can be for Trans-Elwynn, Mahoz HaSephardim, Bandar-e-Rozenkhan. Of course then we have the issue of regular Ashkenatzi provinces which, by virtue of their location and history, may well need their ...

Cheers, Scott- I'll be doing it in a Paint.NET layered file so you can snazz it up if you want. If anyone has any ideas for layouts of streets (I know the general layout thanks to the old map on ShireWiki of the city's districts), such as boulevards, squares, and perhaps even what kind of style cert...

Never tell yourself that!I had a massive post count, I posted between pretty much every other post.
Not a single post was useful in any way.
If you do, you'll start thinking dangerous thoughts, like... 'micronationalism is pointless'...
