It's that time again
Hello Shirithians! As you may know, we've recently written a new constitution in Antica. The Republic is no more, having been replaced by the Commonwealth (a huge shift, I know; I hope the shock isn't too much to bear.) When I say "recently", I mean about three months ago. Anyway, we're into our sec...

And besides, the capture of a capital city is no guarantor of victory. It is shattering for the enemy's morale, though.

Could be...I think, though, that she was mostly influenced in the matter of marriage by:
1. The fear of losing her power and independence.
2. The terrible fate of her mother and some of Henry's other wives (psychological fear of marriage and conjugation.)

You should write about Nicodemus. That was an interesting time period. Besides, the decrees he made were counted in the chronology of official decrees, even though Meskan (Bill) overturned them. So why not mention him?

Re: Coronation of Hasan I
After a great many of the Shirithian nobles had sworn fealty to the Kaiser, and the crowd was beginning to filter out of the chamber, Braden Indianensis approached the bottom step of the raised dais upon which sat the Steward's Chair and the Golden Mango Throne. A herald announced him: "The Honorabl...

Greetings and Congratulations
The Commonwealth of Antica extends its most gracious congratulations and earnest good will to Kaiser Hasan I. We hope that he may reign in peace and prosperity, with the love of his subjects, and that, when the time comes, History will remember him as a wise and virtuous ruler. We hope as well that ...

As far as Kaiserial names go, don't be discouraged if you have a non-traditional one. I was Kaiser Nicodemus I, and Biblical names aren't popular in Shireroth--even though my primary inspiration for that name came from the leader of the rats in The Secret of NIMH.

Even disregarding the dead Middle Eastern fellow, Jayatar's poem was much better. That's one point for him on the Kaiser Scorecard.

Absolutely not. I'd rather meddle in your affairs while participating in a nation I love, Antica. Besides, the Shirithian political system is one I don't really agree with, but it would be against my principles to try and change it. Antica's a democracy, and I like democracy. I do think a commission...

Re: I have a solution!
Well, it is a monarchy; monarchs aren't required to be especially qualified, as the system is based on birth instead of actual merit. Perhaps the Landsraad could appoint a committee of notable and intelligent Shirithians, as well as some people from impartial third-parties, to review the claims and ...

Why don't both candidates for the Kaisership make genealogical charts showing their descent from Raynor I., and any other significant claims to the Throne they might have, and then have the Landsraad or a special court appointed by that body determine which claim is better/more interesting?

I wouldn't say that, but it did finalize my mental image of the sort of place Shireroth is; it occurred to me that I had no business trying to change the nature of anything, and that I had to go and find someplace where I could more comfortably live in accordance with my idea of how a micronation ou...

I don't even really like death metal that much, but the whole "blizzard and chaos and blaring music revolution" thing seemed like something your typical cellar-dwelling aspiring musician would say. Before he relocates to Finland, that is.
