Nation Updates/DiploCorps Reports

DiploCorps Reports are hereby being renamed "Nation Updates". The reason for this is that Bastion is using the DiploCorps name now. However, new Shirerithian Nation Update reports will be either posted or linked (depending on which is the most pertinent or convenient option) on the Bastion Union Dip...

What Andreas said. Also, some might say there are some cultural similarities among the nations, and there are a lot of dual and triple citizenships, both past and present, among their residents.

Re: China awarding own peace prize - confucius peace prize

While on the topic of China, I saw an interesting article about how China has some "ghost" cities after the housing bubble.

Re: Your Grand Niftiness, a Request

Your Niftiness, may I add to my job description "Ambassador to the Bastion Union"? I have recently taken a strong interest in this new Entity, in fact just having participated in a discussion of it on the Antican Roundtable. There was talk of a shared diplomatic corps, an idea first brought up by Ha...

Re: Treaty of Antica (Reborn) [3242 ASC]

A treaty is law. Therefore the Arbiter can nullify it, just like any other law except edicts of the Kaiser. However, as just demonstrated, the Kaiser can overrule the Arbiter on these decisions.

Re: Antica treaty

Allow me to apologize for the rather abrasive manner in which our Arbiter has responded to this issue here in our diplomatic forums. The Arbiter is a judicial office and while it can rule on legal matters such as the validity of treaties, it does not necessarily represent the views of either His Nif...

As a high-ranking Ambassador of Shireroth's foreign ministry, I request the treaty with Antica removed from the sticky thread. Reason: All sections except section three have been violated by Antica since the Summer 2008 period of its discussion and signing. As for whether the treaty is still in forc...

China awarding own peace prize - confucius peace prize

Organizers of the Confucius Peace Prize will honor former Taiwanese vice president Lien Chan in Beijing on Thursday for his efforts at building peace between the Chinese mainland and Taiwan. The prize named after the philosopher is intended to give the Chinese "viewpoint of peace." The awards commi...

Re: I just reviewed the Forum List!

Given the merger with Gralus, Shireroth (and soon to be Shireroth-Gralus-Nelaga-whatever-blah-extra) is entirely in a class of its own and maybe should be compared against Talossa and Lovely. Also maybe a Wikipedia article should be in our sights.

The Act looks well enough authored and organized, that is, of course, if moving the forums is something that the spirit of Shireroth and fate have in store for us.

Your Grand Niftiness, a Request

Your Grand Niftiness, As you know, your Foreign Minister, Jacobus Loki, has been quite busy with real life issues. Currently, however, there is much going on in micro-national foreign affairs that Shireroth needs to analyze and process. Thus, to facilitate this end, while the Foreign Minister is awa...

A humble request

Minister Jacobus Loki,

Please me an Ambassador-at-Large. I can assist you, Sir, in your duties. There is much Shireroth needs to do to maintain its strong diplomatic power.

http://www.wired.com/underwire/2010/06/iron-sky-space-nazis/ I thought Valkyrie was good. Now, think of that movie, but with Sci-Fi added in. This could be entertaining. About the only things I use the Internet for now are news, e-mail (personal a...

Stick a resistor on both sides of it and you have protected against reverse power supplies. Remember, a resistor is essentially just a line that has really poor conduction.

Oh, and Kudos to Spangle for his genius on display yet again.

This Melangian merchant-trader wonders what you mean by 'top-level trading', Honorable Minister Andreas? Re: Signing Off

Antica is becoming overshadowed, Ambassador Aryeztur. It made too many enemies. Antica must show its nicer side; Shireroth certainly has shown its nicer side to it in the past. Perhaps, and this is merely a suggestion, Antica ought to cede some of its seized territories to neighboring smaller nation...
