Strange sounds and smells in the air...

The air in Yardistan begins to feel thin and yet heavy. As though something is... not quite right. As you walk along you think you hear... is it purring? Yes it's purring. At your feet. You look down and see nothing. As you keep waking you begin to smell damp clay and fire.
