The Goddess Elwynn, Sacred Queen of the Flower of the North, as worshipped by the Froyalanish Vanafolk.
The White Orchid Goddess as She appeared at the Arvingstekja of Prince Vilhjálm Daniel Gudrödar Noahs- og Noorsson of the Houses of Ayreon-Kalirion and of the Descendants of Freyja.

The Lady Divine Elwynn is a Goddess who originally hails from the Treesian pantheon. During the Ducal Reign of Harald of Ettlingar Freyu She was adopted by the Froyalanish Vanafolk and accepted as a full Vanic Goddess by the Vanir. The Goddess Elwynn is the Matron and Sacred Queen of the Elwynnese Union.

Name

To the Froyalanish Vanafolk the full name of the Goddess Elwynn is: Lady Elwynn Kwendia Eiseamlars- og Spedomhainsdóttir of Mount Yaanek and the Tower of Araxion. She is also referred to as the White Orchid Goddess or the White Orchid Lady.

Character

The Goddess Elwynn is the Goddess of Good. She is totally selfless and purely good, and from the very moment of Her birth the Lady Elwynn embodied, and to this very day embodies, everything which is right and just, and wonderful, and fair.

Appearance

The Lady Divine Elwynn is tall and slim with a pale to snow white skin which is as smooth as silk. She also has got white hair and eyes that sparkle like gems. When dressed the Lady Elwynn used to be almost always completely clad in white garments, although She nowadays occasionally wears more colourful clothes to please Her Vanic devotees. It is said that She can take the form of a white orchid.

Symbols

The White Orchid is the most important symbol of the Goddess Elwynn. The Tower of Araxion, the sacred volcano called Mount Yaanek and the holy river which bears Her name are also associated with the Lady Elwynn.

Dwellings

The Goddess Elwynn usually dwells in one of the following places: the Tower of Araxion, Mount Yaanek, and Mount Yaanek Temple and Palace in the Kingly City of Eliria. She also has got a residence in Vanaheim, the home world of the Vanir.

Style and Titles

In Her capacity of Matron Goddess and Sacred Queen of the Flower of the North, the Lady Elwynn bears the style of Her Most Sacred Majesty and has the following titles:

  • Matron and Sacred Queen of Eluin;
  • Châtelaine of the Palace of Krull and Eliria Castle;
  • Lady of the Tower of Araxion;
  • Lady of Mount Yaanek; and
  • Lady of Mount Yaanek Temple and Palace.

Vanic Worship of Elwynn

Worship of the Lady Divine Elwynn by the Froyalanish Vanafolk commenced in the Ducal Reign of Duke Harald of Froyalan (1533-1542). She is nowadays considered a full Vanic Goddess by the Vanafolk.

Since the ascension of the Most High and Most Mighty Prince Thorstein Noah of Elwynn to the then Serene and nowadays Kingly Throne of Elwynn the aforesaid White Orchid Throne practices hierogamy. In consequence thereof the aforementioned monarch shall wed the Lady Elwynn during His Konungstekja, His coronation as King of Elwynn, which shall take place some time after he has come of age in accordance with the Laws of the Lands of Elwyna.

According to Froyalanish legend and lore their worship of the Goddess Elwynn was triggered when some Ducal Surveyors of Froyalanish descent got lost on Bifrost, the larger of the two islands of the archipelago of two polar islands which is known as Hyperborea, and caught up in a savage snowstorm. The aforesaid Lady Divine saved their lives and took them into Mount Yaanek where they stayed as Her guests until were able to travel back to the mainland of the Duchy of Froyalan.

Back home the Ducal Surveyors were full of praise of the Lady Elwynn and they started to spread the word about Her among the Froyalanish Vanafolk. The number of Vanafolkers who included the aforesaid Lady Divine in their rituals grew exponentially.

In turn the Goddess Elwynn began to answer the calls of the Froyalanish Vanafolk and appear to them. In the beginning quite scarcely due to Her being accustomed to an isolated life on Bifrost, but later increasingly often when the Lady Divine noticed that Her powers were growing as result of the Froyalanish Vanafolk worshipping Her.

Some time later the Vanir Goddesses invited the Lady Elwynn to their home world Vanaheim where they taught Her Vanic magic. They also bestowed the aforesaid River Goddess with a hall and lands, nowadays collectively known as the Elwynn Estate, which serve as Lady Divine's residence during Her frequent stays in Vanaheim.
