It occurs to me that the Imperial Decree system on ShireWiki is extremely arcane and bizarre.

There's this page, which is just a list and the exact text of each decree. It's out of date, by the way.

On half of the individual Kaiser's pages, there is the same thing, a list of the exact text of the decrees. On the other half, it just says "Imperial Decrees made by this Kaiser: ####" and each decree has its own page with the exact text.

PLUS there's this, which links to the first list of decrees.

This is extremely confusing. We need to pick one of two systems:

A) Imperial Decrees and their full text will be placed on the page of the Kaiser who issued them
B) Imperial Decrees and their full text will be placed on the Imperial Decrees page, with a link to them on the page of the Kaiser who issued them

Either way, there is no need for that template. Let's get'er done! DEMANDS IT

I would prefer if the Kaiser decided about this. Imperial Decrees are his domain after all.

It's only the classification system, but OK.

The template is a remainder of Ancient times.

When I glued stuff back together I ignored it, but left it in place, just in case someone made a good case for why it was there in the first place.

I would like a response from the Kaiser (or duly appointed delegate) or else I'm just going to go ahead and pick one of the options. It's really bugging me.

Let's kill the template, then. It's unused and redudndant.

I agree. But there is still an inconsistency in the way the Decrees are listed. Should each decree have it's own page? Or should each decree be listed under its Kaiser?

What I've tried to be consistant about is that there is a link from the Kaiser to the text of the Decree, and from the decree back to the Kaiser, so that researchers can find one from the other.

If we really want to get fancy, there could be a link from the Decree back to the original text in the forum, but that would be a massive amount of work.

That template is being scratched, we decided.

I mean that on half of the individual Kaiser pages (i.e. Agni I) it says:

Decrees made by this Kaiser: 001, 002

And on others it says this:

Decrees Made by this Kaiser:

001.

FULL TEXT OF DECREE

I think there should be a consistent way of listing them, not half /half.

Executive Order:

From now on the listing of Imperial Decrees shall be as follows:

Each Imperial Decree shall have its own page.
Under each Kaiser, it shall read:

Decrees Made by this Kaiser: Decree 001

And so on.

Agreed. I also like this page. I want to keep it. I've updated it with all decrees up to my last now.

That is a lot of work!
