Landsraad 2: Lawbook Format

Post by Kaiseress Semisa I »

Article 2, Section A, Clause 2

From:
New bills and acts submitted to the Landsraad shall be written in the form of a completed law, not in the form of a question or multiple questions; i.e., laws shall be written as statements of fact. The placement of new bills into the Lawbook shall be decided by the Prtor after the bill is passed. Amendments to the Lawbook shall be proposed containing both the existing sections and the amended sections.
To:
New bills and acts submitted to the Landsraad shall be written in the form of a completed law, not in the form of a question or multiple questions; i.e., laws shall be written as statements of fact. In the case of a law being submitted without being in proper format, the law will be amended to be in proper format--either by the Praetor or the Landsraad itself--before voting begins. The placement of new bills into the Lawbook shall be decided by the Praetor after the bill is passed. Amendments to the Lawbook shall be proposed containing both the existing sections and the amended sections.

It should specify that only the praetor or kaiser can. Otherwise we'll have nobles changing things everywhere for the pure sake of anarchy. There are no flowers, no not this time. There will be no angels gracing the lines, just these stark words I find.

I KNOW it is. I remember some of the shenanigans we've pulled. There are no flowers, no not this time. There will be no angels gracing the lines, just these stark words I find.

Did we have a problem with not actual bills being passed into law? I wouldn't see why we'd have to have this stated, as it would seem obvious (but I'm sure it wouldn't have been proposed without reason).
