Okey.. wtf. If you objected to it, why didn't you say so?
What do you have against it?

I don't like the idea of purchasing titles. That's why I vote against it. I haven't had time to formulate a long eloquent answer to why I don't like the idea.

I'm now not sure about the costs, given discussions which aren't happening in a place that doesn't exist. I'm happy in principle for non-hereditary titles to be purchased; but given [insert stuff everyone who knows what I'm talking about knows what I'm talking about here], I'm not sure 400 and 800 are now appropriate. Also given the strangely low bounty proposals (minister pays goes from 400+ every 2-3 months to 50 a month?) I may need to rejig my whole costing thing in my head. Hmm.
ABSTAIN for now.

Well, the ministry payment was low cause the land tax is low. I was trying to balance things. I'd be happy to lower, drastically the costs for these titles. Hell, that would partly solve the issues with Scott's new plan to increase the size of the Landsraad. Shall we cut the cost to 500/200?

Well, see, we have two conflicting options regarding costing. One is to say "these have more power than we previously thought, they need to be more expensive." The other is to say "We're giving out less in bounties, they should be cheaper." I'm inclined to not lower them - I expect bounties raising in payment back to more normal levels is likely. I guess it depends if we think this title purchase legislation is the end all or whether we can come back and tweak it in a couple months if we find that necessary.

I see no reason why not to come back and tweak it. I would honestly rather make it easier for people to purchase titles then for Scott to just be handing them out. That way people who actually want them can get them, and those that don't care enough won't.
I still don't like Scott up coming plan, and I see here an opportunity to create an alternative that doesn't erase/rewrite the system and water-down the Landsraad from a nice hearty stew to something with the consistency of a light vegetable broth.
If we make titles cheap enough they can be affordable to those that want to be able to vote, thus relieving that complaint without turning us into a democracy. So I say let us cut the cost to something rather affordable.

600/300, then. Since they're only paying this once and then half of it every three months further, it would take over a year to use up to average Shirithian private funds (~1800) if they bought non-hereditary Baron titles.
