So... If we pay each minister 50€ a month we need 300€ a month from land to balance the budget. We have that.

So... let's give 25€ to assistant ministers and direct subordinates. Thus DirCart and Ast. MiniInt get paid (yay). Thus bringing our total to 350.

Now, let's pay the Praetor 50€. Deputy 25€. Arbiter 50€. Ast. Arb 25€ Now we are at 500€

Give the UniChancelor 25€. And Harald of Arms 25€. Now we are at 550€. Now set aside say...150 for various bounties..

This gives us a base monthly expense of 625€. This means we need to distribute 24 counties so we can balance the budget each month. We have 18 distributed. Thus 6 more need to go out.

I'm sure this will please Kildare. Who'll get more land, as will others.

Empty Jobs will just not get paid out, so we will save money there.

Expenses: 600€
Ministry Paychecks: 300€
Sub-Ministry Paychecks: 100€
University Staff: 25€
Landsraad Staff: 75€
Judex Staff: 75€
Court Staff: 25€

Income: 450€
Land Tax: 450€

So we are 150€ short a month on government jobs, but as some jobs are empty.... we may make a profit.

I'm assuming we'd only bother paying people who actually did something in that month? Eg if the Deputy Praetor doesn't do anything in the month, we don't pay him/her?

It would make sense. And I wouldn't mind breaking down the actual payment of ministries. Some ministers should get paid more, like MiniInt.
