How I see Kildarian society...

Post by Jonas »

... without the peasants and all the army ranks. :angel

Behold! The Kildarian Pyramid!

I hope that this picture will make it easier to comprehend the governmental and feudal structure of the Dutchy. On the background are the Gods, representing the religious diversity within our borders (to be honest: I just took the picture because it fits the picture).
From a distance I'm concerned about the rampant lawyerism manifesting itself in Shireroth currently. A simple Kaiserial slap on the wrist or censure by the community should suffice. - Jacobus Loki

William, in the case you're afraid that I already integrated my ideas: this is just a picture. It still can change. :document

I really like it. I am a visual person, and it is nice to see something other than just words.

One thing though, culturally speaking, the King of Hawshire-Dura should be above Count but still below the Seanad level. Because of the treaty, we're just a bit higher than your average County. Similar to Hyperborea. :)

What additional powers does the King of Hawshire-Dura have?
1.5. As a fiefholder of the Kaiser and the Dutch of Kildare the King of Hawshire shall be county right and powers the same as a count.

1.5.1. The King-Count of Hawshire shall exercise no powers within Hawshire save for those of Count for so long as the association with the Imperial Republic of Shireroth shall endure.

The treaty is pretty clear. The King of Hawshire-Dura has the same status as a Count within zir fief. So the answer would be "none".

That was kind of my point. :)

I was curious why the King of Hawshire-Dura is portrayed as being above a Count. It doesn't make sense to me.

It could be a cultural distinction. Not higher in power, but in status.

Ah, I see. You're probably right. I thought he meant that the King had additional authority over Counts.

No, Malliki is right, it is a cultural distinction. I did say "culturally speaking." The title of King is a cultural position.
