Too many halls...

Sorto Hall and Tony Au Memorial Library could be merged.
So can the Escher Hall, Tolkien Hall and Shakespeare Hall. It's all about art, poetry and stories.

I don't really know what to do with The 400 Wing (last post: 3 years ago), games can be (and are) played in the Shrine of Controversy.
I would like to move the classes about MITO and RecWars to the Gryphon Avocatio Hall (as subdivisions).

And instead of placing the declassified topics in the Archives, we could transfer them to the Tony Au Memorial Library (as a separated subforum, of course). Afterall, most of those posts have a certain historical value and are interesting for research.

Something like this:
- Carol Hall (merger: Escher Hall, Shakespeare Hall and the Tolkien Hall)
- The 400 Wing (I'm not sure about what to do with it)
- Tony Au Memorial Library
- Sorto Hall: with declassified subforums.
- Gryphon Avocatio Hall: now used for lessons. 'Introduction to MITO Trading' and ' RecWars 101: Introduction to RecWars and SCIRA' are part of it.

I think we can better not merge Sorto Hall and the library.

I have discussed this with Chancellor Gaudin, and the three of us are in agreement, your niftiness. Your proposal looks sufficient.

Excellent. Then I will use my adminpowers to deal with the job. ;)

Your Niftiness, would it be possible to have a subforum created for the program that I am going to administer?

I would, of course, request moderator rights should you agree to have this subforum created. :)

I have an idea of how I want this to work, and it requires making certain topics sticky. I feel it is best for the development of this new program to segregate the traditional classes from my topics (and the topics of the program's students).

A 'class room' can be added to the Gryphon Avocatio Hall, yes. You have my approval, but have to ask Ari (I don't want to screw up the forum privileges). ;)

I appreciate Your Niftiness' understanding. :D

Do you have a suggestion for what to name the subforum? It's going to be a program that actually awards degrees, so I recommend that the "hall" be been named after someone. You could think of it as the "graduate school" of the University. Generally, these types of programs are named for someone/something.

Erm, if that's what you'd like O Nifty One, then it shall be. :worship

By the way, why is this going to be created beneath the languages department? :confused

I'm going to assume the position of Provost (I need a title to append to documents and I figured that Provost would be the most appropriate).

Are there any objections?

Good stuff.

I don't know if you have read this yet (it might have been lost in the other posts), but I have explained in further detail my plans for the new program here: http://shireroth.org/forum/viewtopic.ph ... 67#p145667
