MY ORBAT ABOVE HAS BEEN CANCELLED, SEEING AS THE SIDES HAVE CHANGED A BIT. I WILL ENTER WITH A DIFFERENT ORBAT IN A FEW DAYS.

There are sides?

Sort of. It's more like a mixture of really shaky alliances. More fun that way, I say.

Ok, here goes my OrBat. I tried to make them as realistic to my stated forces as possible.
$12- 4 marine divisions (IMEF, IIMEF, IIIMEF, and IVMEF)
*marine (No explanation need be given, hopefully)
*mechanized (They WOULD use Amphibious Assault vehicles)

$4- 2 artillery batteries

$20- 4 armored Brigades

$20- 4 attack helicopter squadrons

$5- 1 special operations team

$10- 2 fighter squadrons
* ground strike (VTOL is more apropriate, but ground strike works too, because Harriers are meant to be ground support mostly anyway)

$4- 2 small warship fleets
---
$75- total

I've redone my OrBat since the parameters of the war changed a while ago.

Regular Army:
23 infantry ($1 each, $23 total)
6 artillery ($2 each, $12 total)

Siegebreaker Force:
6 Armor ($5 each, $30 total)
5 infantry with SAM ($2 each, $10 total)

Monty Crisco Siege Force.

10 Armor (5$*10=$50) (I like tanks)
5 Infantry with SAM (2$*5=$10)
5 Infantry ($1*5=$5)
5 Artillery (2$*5=$10)

50+10+5+10=$65

I would do special Ops teams, but last I knew they were useless in this system.

The siege force will retreat if outnumbered and will switch to hit and run tactics with its tanks supported by infantry.

If I actually do end up entering the war (Straylight's on the Kaiser's side) my orbat will look something like this: (no coherent story behind these names and forces other than they're what could be raised/commandeered)

2 large warships, fast. The MPS Tooth Fairy and Vagina Dentata.
4 small warships. The MPS Exaggerated Canine, Painful Extraction, Weird Dreams and Prosthetic Crown.

$22

1 small warship, copter platform. The Fuck You.
2 copters. The Kancho and Wedgie.

$13

3 small warships, reinforced hull. The BSLADS Second-System Effect, Insufficient Zen and Analysis Paralysis.

$9

5 infantry, marine. The divisions Fat White Ocian Stormtroopers, Blackrockian Jihad, Peace Bees, Conspiracy Against Schizophrenics, and Loki's Lil Helpers.

$10

3 small warships, fast. The Peter Pan, Virgin of Aland, and Don't Copy That Floppy.

$9

2 fighters, air superiority. The Nuff Dakka and Macross Missile Massacre.

$12

Due to lack of time, I am unable to continue participation in this war. Is there anyway that I can cede my army to another rebel?

I suppose I could take them.

No, you can't transfer OrBats for exactly this sort of reason. If people want to support their forces, they gotta fight.

Honestly.. this whole system is displeasing me with it's formalness and calculations. It just takes all the fun out. There's no room for strategic advantage. It's a game. It's not a war.

It has a lot, lot less formalness than Anunia currently has. And if you found long heated disputes about the minutiae of military possibility a fun way of resolving battle damages, well ...

Honestly, most recwar bores me for these reasons.

It takes all the arguing about who gets what damage out of it, that part is done.

And yes, I believe advantages are built into the system.

The battle system is just a way to keep people honest, so that you aren't tempted to attack an enemy with wholly inferior forces and somehow weasel out a victory when you really shouldn't have.

Keep in mind that you can still talk things over with your opponent and decide the outcome of battles without ever touching the battle generator or any of the math.
