O Melang'
Greetings, fellow Melangians. One of your own has returned after a long journey. My father was a captain of a merchant ship which traveled all over Micras, and my mother was weaver of fine linens used in traditional Melangian religious and cultural ceremonies.
Kindest Regards,
Gil'les Mel'ang

Actually, you could say that the name as a whole is pronounced as in French, which puts a light stress on the last syllable of every word unless there is an acute-accented vowel (e.g. résumé) and then on that/those syllable(s).

Re: O Melang'
Someday I would like to take a French class. Maybe then I would have learned that in there.
I have, however, taken courses in Ancient, Medieval, Classical, and Modern Melangian, as well as courses in Modern Aryezi. I'd like soon to improve my Shirerithian. I also know a little Antican, though primarily curse words. On one of my father's ships, the assistant cook was a Korhali drunk who would yell at his Suryan wife, who was the dish washer, all the time. Fiatch!

French classes? Don't do it! DON'T! IT'S A TRAP!
Just to warn you: it sounds nice and it seems sophisticated, but it isn't very easy to learn (of course, that depends). My French is bad, I'm just lucky that I had to start learning it when I was still a little boy. I can assure you, walking through Brussels and not knowing any French is a bad combination. Now, I'm happy with the terrible hours I had to spend at it but I hated it.

From a distance I'm concerned about the rampant lawyerism manifesting itself in Shireroth currently. A simple Kaiserial slap on the wrist or censure by the community should suffice. - Jacobus Loki

I'm managing to attract citizens - amazing! Welcome! There's hope for a Barony of Atterock again.

Duke Mel'Kat - Air Pirate, Melangian, and Duke of the Flying Duchy of Glanurchy
And references may be made to Vur'Alm Xei'Bôn (a Nelagan Micron of undisclosed purpose).

What needs to be done to make that possible, Sir?

Re: O Melang'
Well, having one more citizen is an excellent start. The Barony system in Shireroth died due to lack of citizens, but there's no reason we couldn't reform a barony if there were two (and ideally three) of us.

I concur with this idea and would join such a barony as a citizen.
