LOA again

Post by Ari Rahikkala »

This time I feel slightly more confident that I will end up on LOA... though... still not very confident.... but it will happen eventually!

There were, but my procrastination and my paranoia don't really go together very well. There has been... more than one occasion where I've looked at the database and forum dump and gone "well, I promised the course would be open to all, so that means I have to clear the private messages... and then all the private forums... and I wonder if there's anything in the cache directory... and I don't even know what that database table is for, and I wonder if it's private data..."

That is, in other words, it's not all that much work really, I'm just afraid I'd miss some data that was supposed to be private.

I'll be spending next week as offline as a caveman except perhaps if I hop on a bike and visit the library or something. Have fun not seeing any appreciable difference in administrative response times :tomcutterhamonfire

I'm going to go explore the nature of Lapland for a couple of days tomorrow, and after that I'll prooobably be spending a while behind gprs. Expect me when you see me. Also, there'll probably be another forum rehosting experiment once I'm back on dsl.

Lapland has always been this great fantasy-land in my fevered brain.

Pictures?

Pictures are for people who would rather... something... than experience things directly. I'm half-back and on gprs, will get on dsl tomorrow (so that "prooooobably" didn't materialise after all) and will respond to ministry queries and pms and such then. Note to self: Read Scott's latest story.

I'll be spending juhannus in Rantsila chilling with the Rahikkala clan. Don't quite know yet whether I'll be offline or behind gprs. In any case won't have a decent internet connection for a couple of days.

I'm going to be ridiculously busy this weekend ridiculously failing at http://icfpcontest.org/ with Icebreaker's expert partnership. The results will be amusing, but one thing they won't involve is me participating in Shirithian affairs for the next couple of days.

The Continuing LOA Adventure of Ari... continues. I'll be spending at least the next couple of days completely offline. Maybe most of the week. There's light at the end of the tunnel though... I should be getting more chances to be on near the end of the month.
