Forgetting for a moment my tendency to use decrees in lieu of blunt object trauma, yes absolutely! Our system of governance is unsurpassed for the virtue it fosters at all levels of society.

Re: Time to settle: Name cities, towns and villages

I am pleased to report there is no Alumelith outside Vijayanagara, there is only the ground zero for the initiation of the 'narrativity' bomb, and no city by that name will ever rise there again. Any questions? No? Good. Let us never speak of this again.

Re: This is ridiculous

I should have been more specific but like what the Kaiser suggests - while the Duchies would be a fixed dominion, they would not belong to a house by right - if you want intrigue leave the door open to the possibility that a House might by stratagem (recwar, alliance, defection) come to dominate mor...

Re: This is ridiculous

Some of them stolen off yourself? Not knowingly, and if it is the case that Ric suggested something like that previously - I apologise. That was meant as an off the cuff remark - I haven't really been following the restoration of the duchies debate (not withstanding the shouting in the last reign) ...

Incidentally - would it be simpler if Duchies were fixed and unchanging territorial entities, an agglomeration of counties linked by geographical proximity and common history, ruled by the competing houses who can in turn rise and fall - with any aberrations being cleansed from the system by time an...

Re: UPDATING THE CLAIMSMAP

Ardy, are you sure that three military bases in an island chain known for their piracy is a good idea? And though I'm loathe to put one on Melangia for cultural reasons (the Melangians are fairly peaceful, Mel'Kat being rather an oddity), it does make sense strategically. I'm not convinced about th...

Exactly - this entire episode has been one of unprincipled partisanship by Erik in pursuit of the restoration one of his own flawed creations for which he is inexplicably nostalgic.

Re: Flag Change Bill 3963

The way this vote was presented was that the Landsraad would be given a chance to resolve the flag question by testing Shyraith's improved variant of the old against Scott's flag which is currently in force. Your questionable logic and comprehension aside, the matter was put to the Landsraad to deci...

Re: The Flag - A completely Consequential Poll

I figure people wouldn't vote for it if they didn't want it to pass.
Then you would have claimed that the measure had unanimous support because it was allowed to pass unopposed. If only three people had voted in favour would you have withdrawn it? Who died and allowed you to start dictating logic?
